Flower Pot Game
Supplies: Construction Paper
Glue
Buttons (before
I throw away clothes, I save the buttons)
Crayons
Draw a simple flower pot shape on a piece of construction paper. Write a numeral from 1 to 10 inside the shape. Then draw the same number of stems coming out of the flower pot. Give your child the paper, crayons, glue and some buttons. Let them color pretty flowers on the end of each stem, then have them tell you what number is on the pot. Count out that many buttons and glue one button on each stem to be the center of the flowers. Repeat with as many different numbers as desired.
For older children, only make the pot shape and numeral. Let them count out and draw the stems themselves.
